After a quick out to Rex’s soccer game in the morning, in which he got 2 goals, Andy & I rested the rest of Saturday. We watched movies and read, napping also happened for Andy in between, but I can not force myself to do it. Lying still for as long as I did yesterday was a major feat for me though. I think we did 4 movies in a row. The Ohlin’s were having a traditional Swedish crayfish party and as we could not attend, they brought us all the makings for our very own party. We skipped the vodka shots, but we looked pretty cute in the crayfish hats and bibs!
We took a walk into town on Sunday late morning (the doctor told andy to get moving) after a scrumptious breakfast was delivered by the Harms/Datz family. It was so beautiful out we decided to remain outside and went and sat at the lake. We read and caught up with friends there, what a beautiful day.
My arm pit continues to be sore and swollen, it is turning a lovely shade of purple now, still haven’t checked out the boob area. There is some soreness/tenderness there now too, but no real pain.
Healing takes time, so I am just trying to lay low and let it happen. I meet with the Radiation Oncologist this Friday to talk about the radiation schedule. Follow up with the surgeon and oncologist are the following week.
Andy continues to have pain and is doing his best to stay active and move, but also take it easy. It is a delicate balance and just when he thinks he has it down, it changes on him. He is working on a presentation for work tomorrow, he is getting good at drawing with him arm in a sling! He is doing PT 2 times a week now and doesn’t follow up with his doctor until the following week.
